The Great Dodford estate was the last purchased by Fergus O'Connor and was purchased in January 1848. It was split into 40 plots each being built with a cottage as at each of the other estates. The great location day when the successful occupiers took up occupation took place on 2nd July 1849.

1999 is the 150th Aniversary and the Dodford Society is organising a week of events from Friday 2nd July to Sunday 11th July. Further details can be obtained from:-
